Maddie Vincent
From an early age, I knew I wanted to work with animals. It was just finding the right job in which to put my passion to effective use.
I first fell in love with horse riding at the age of 4 and haven’t looked back. I have worked on different yards doing everything from leading rein lessons to competing peoples’ horses for them.
Then to my love for dogs, first looking after my grandma’s dog to working as an Animal Nursing Assistant at a vet practice.
Having had a hamster, rats and now a family pet cat, I am not fussed about what animal, only that I can share my love for them and give them the best life possible.
This passion led me to study a 4-year degree at Harper Adams University where I gained the knowledge and skills required to become a veterinary physiotherapist to ensure the animals I treat have the best quality of life whether they are your family dog, competition horse or farm animal. During my time at university my favourite subjects were anatomy, behaviour and welfare. I find it fascinating how everything from the body, the animal’s behaviour and how the animal is looked after influence each other.
